BOXFORD – The Town of Boxford and the Boxford School Committee are excited to announce that the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has invited Harry Lee Cole Elementary School into its Accelerated Repair Program (ARP). This partnership will focus on a partial roof replacement for Roof Section A, identified as a priority in the Town’s Statement of Interest. The design process is scheduled to commence in spring 2025.
Dr. Scott Morrison, Superintendent of the Tri-Town Union, expressed gratitude for this opportunity: “We are deeply thankful to the MSBA for their partnership in addressing critical infrastructure needs at Harry Lee Cole Elementary School. This collaboration underscores the Town and School Committee’s commitment to maintaining and improving our school facilities for the benefit of students and staff.”

The MSBA’s Accelerated Repair Program focuses on energy-efficient and cost-effective upgrades that preserve existing assets and reduce operational costs for school districts. The next steps for this project include securing local authorization for schematic design funding by March 2025, followed by the design phase to determine the most sustainable and fiscally responsible solution for the roof replacement. ♦
