The Shriners Circus Is Back With An All-New Show

Tuesday April 12, 2022

Wilmington – Just in time for April vacation, the Shriners Circus is back in the area with an all-new show.

Presented by the Aleppo Shriners at the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, the circus will be held for the first time since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The greatest show to hit the Shriners Auditorium in 2022 will be a fun-filled extravaganza for young and old,” said Roger Metcalfe, Shriners Circus Chairman. “This is an all-new circus featuring some of the best performers and entertainers in the country.”

The circus will offer twelve performances during school vacation week from Wednesday, April 20 through Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Highlights of the 2022 Shriners Circus include: aerialists, dancers, acrobats, performers flying through the air, death defying stuntmen riding four motorcycles at the same time in the Globe of Death, and a man being shot out of a cannon.

The famous Aleppo Clowns will spread laughter and silliness throughout the arena, and no exotic animals will be performing at the circus.

For the first time, the circus will also present some well-known local TV and radio personalities to greet the crowd as celebrity ringmasters. Some of those recognizable faces and voices that are scheduled to appear include Erika Tarantal from WCVB, Channel 5, Catherine Parrotta from Boston 25, Sue Tabb and Kendra Petrone from Magic 106.7, Kennedy from MIX 104.1, Ramiro from HOT 96.9, and Hank Morse from North Shore 104.9.

Tickets to the all-new 2022 Shriners Circus are available by visiting www.AleppoCircus2022.Eventbrite.com, and there is free parking at the Shriners Auditorium at 99 Fordham Road in Wilmington.

The Aleppo Shriners Circus began in 1951 and is the organization’s primary fundraiser to benefit the Aleppo Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington. The Shrine is best known for its colorful parades, its distinctive red fez, and its official philanthropy, the Shriners Hospitals for Children, which is often called “the heart and soul of the Shrine.”

The Aleppo Shriners are one of 200 chapters worldwide.
