PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
GEORGETOWN PLANNING BOARD
Notice is hereby provided that the Town of Georgetown Planning Board will conduct Public Hearings pursuant to M.G.L. c.40A, Sec. 5, on potential amendments to the Zoning Bylaw. Hearings will be to amend Article XVIII Solar Energy Facility and consider adding language to §165-42 through §165-155 for Battery Energy Storage Systems. The purpose of the hearings is to obtain public sentiment so that proper revisions can be made regarding possible Warrant Articles proposed by the Georgetown Planning Board.
The Public Hearings will be on Wednesday, 19 AUGUST 2026. The hearing to amend §165-42 through §165-155 will begin at 7:30pm. The hearing will be held virtually via Zoom, at which time all interested persons may appear and be heard in relation thereto. The link to the Zoom meeting will be available on the Planning Board’s agenda which can be found on the Town’s Calendar of Upcoming Events at www.Georgetownma.gov 48 hours prior to the Public Hearing. The above-cited remote meeting connection information will be included on the 19 AUGUST 2026 Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted on the Town of Georgetown website no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting. Further, the meeting will be broadcast live on the Georgetown Local Access Cable TV Channel 9.
