Invitation for Proposals to Farm

The Town of Rowley has an opportunity for farming on its Bradstreet Farm Conservation Area at 239 Main Street (Map 26, Parcel 26, Lot 1) starting in the 2027 growing season. These areas have been previously farmed under license since 2017. The area available to be farmed includes two parcels, the North field of approximately 0.85 acres with an 800’ perimeter and the South field of approximately 1.05 acres with 930’ perimeter with a freshwater pond that is approximately 0.15 acres with a 320’ perimeter. The farming would be done under a license issued by the Rowley Conservation Commission and would be revocable at will on thirty (30) days’ notice. The Town is looking for qualified applicants (farmers) from the Town of Rowley or directly abutting municipalities. Applicants would have to provide a detailed planting and pest control plan (IPM) and have liability insurance. Written expressions of interest are requested by November 1, 2026. Interested parties should contact the Conservation Commission at 978-948-2330 for further details.
