Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Rowley Town Hall Auditorium, pursuant to the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 79, Karen H. Summit, the Treasurer for the Town of Rowley, intends to sell the hereinafter described parcels of land at public auction, said sale having been approved the by the Commissioner of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 60, Section 79 by virtue of two affidavits of land of low value issued by the Commissioner of Revenue recorded on December 20, 2019, at the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds in Book 38133, Page 288, and recorded at the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds on September 28, 2021, in Book 40320, Page 559.

Parcel No. 1. 86,684 SF of land, more or less on LESLIE ROAD and shown as Map 007, Block 010 on the Town Assessors’ map. Tax taking is dated July 27, 2009 and recorded with the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds at Book 28812, Page 309. Assessed owner: Paul Desmond & Alison Story.

Parcel No. 2. 160,300 SF of land, more or less on BLAIR ROAD and shown as Map 007, Block 026 on the Town Assessors’ map. Tax taking is dated September, 21, 2012 and recorded with the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds at Book 31755, Book 143. Assessed owner: David W. Derochemont.

Parcel No 3. 36,410 SF of land, more or less on NEWBURYPORT TURNPIKE and shown as Map 023, Block 031 on the Town Assessors’ map. Tax taking is dated August 12, 2010, and recorded with the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds at Book 29735, Book 410. Assessed owner: James O. Brown & Phyllis C. Brown.

Parcel No 4. 173,804 SF of land, more or less on NEWBURY ROAD and shown as map 001-039 on the Town Assessors’ map. Tax taking is dated August 12, 2010 and recorded with the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds at Book 29735, Page 415. Assessed owner: Thomas Eubank.

Parcel No 5. 35,200 SF of land, more or less on NEWBURYPORT TURNPIKE and shown as Map 021, Block 028 on the Town Assessors’ map. Tax taking is dated July 27, 2009, and recorded with the Southern Essex District Registry of Deeds at Book 28813, Page 104. Assessed owner: NRLL East LLC & S/O Dannish Shah Masood.

Sale will be made to the highest bidder at an open and competitive auction; however, the Treasurer may reject any and all bids at the sale or any adjournment thereof which the Treasurer, in their sole discretion, deems inadequate. The purchase price must be paid within ten (10) days by cash, certified check, money order or bank check. No personal checks will be accepted. Failure to pay the purchase price within ten (10) days will result in forfeiture.
