Works of local artist Carol Holcroft on exhibit at Rowley Public Library

Tuesday October 19, 2021

The Rowley Public Library is currently hosting the work of local artist Carol Holcroft. She loves color and texture and dimension and the vision and inspiration of her work comes from the organic shapes of nature and architectural shapes in the material world, leading her to create landscape imagery, ethereal interpretation and designs in geometric shapes. She is strongly influenced by works of art represented by abstract expressionism and impressionism, along with artists of the Color Field Movement. Her work has been accepted into national and regional juried and non-juried shows at Rockport Art Association and Museum, New Hampshire Art Association, Marblehead Art Association, Newburyport Art Association along with exhibitions at the Charles Fine Art Gallery. She has been a resident of Merrimac Massachusetts for more than 30 years. Her current display will be here through October at the Rowley Public Library, 141 Main Street in Rowley.
