In accordance with the Town of Rowley Stormwater Management and Erosion Control Bylaw, as amended, a remote Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 9:00 PM to consider a Stormwater Management Permit application filed by Wethersfield Development LLC for proposed construction of three (3) single-family dwellings with associated appurtenances, associated grading, septic systems, and stormwater facilities at 195 Wethersfield St (Map 17, Parcel 26) in Rowley, MA. Applicant(s) is requesting a Special Permit from RZPB section 4.11.3.2 for a four lot residential subdivision proposed of two new houses, a re-constructed house and a retained existing house. The property is located at 45-47 Newbury Road in the Outlying district and is shown on Assessors’ Map 5 Block 62 Lot 1. At the public hearing, members of the public may ask questions and present evidence that supports either the approval or denial of this petition.

A release of oil has occurred at this location, which is a disposal site, as defined by M.G.L.c.21E and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, 310 CMR 40.0000.  On March 07, 2025, recorded with the South Essex County Registry of Deeds, a Notice of Activity and Use Limitation on the disposal site, pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1070 through 40.1080.

The Notice of Activity and Use Limitation will limit the following site activities and uses on the above referenced property:

Based upon the risk characterization, an Activity and Use Limitation (AUL) is required for the entire property located at 28 Woodland Road in Georgetown, MA. The AUL would restrict use of the property to commercial uses and required a passive ventilation system within the existing building to limit human exposure/contact to potential indoor vapors. Future site redevelopment would require License Site Professional (LSP) opinion in regards to site excavation and building ventilation.

In accordance with Chapter 71, Section 38N of the Massachusetts General Laws, the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District’s School Committee will hold a public hearing on the FY 2025-2026 annual school budget at 6:00 p.m. in the School Committee conference room at the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, 115 Amesbury Line Rd., Haverhill, MA on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.   A copy of the FY26 Recommended Budget may be downloaded from the school district website https://www.whittiertech.org/page/policies-and-documents or will be available in the office of the School Business Administrator beginning Wednesday, April 2, 2025 until Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
