The Georgetown Community Preservation Committee will hold a Public Informational Hearing on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. to provide the community with an opportunity to learn and comment about projects to be considered for funding by the voters of Georgetown at the May 2024 Annual Town Meeting.
The meeting will be held in person in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room at Town Hall, One Library Street, Georgetown, MA, and virtually via Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84830518541; Meeting ID: 848 3051 8541; Passcode: 921767

The Georgetown Planning Board will hold a public hearing on 27 March 2024, at 7:00 P.M. in accordance with the state mandated amendment language to MGL C. 40A, Section 3A, i.e., provisions for the town to provide a minimum of 750 non-age restricted multi-family housing units, by right, proposed to be provided within the Town’s Bylaw in Section 165-60, and in accordance with the proposed Zoning Overlay District, to consist of at least 50 acres, and generally identified, herein, as a 61 acre (+/-) area comprised of multiple parcels, developed or otherwise, and in and around the area of Georgetown known locally as “downtown”, and further identified as the vicinity surrounding the intersection of MA Routes 97 and 133 in Georgetown.

A Public Informational Meeting will be held by MassDOT to discuss the proposed Bridge Replacement, T-06-013, Perkins Row over Mile Brook project in Topsfield, MA.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Bridge Replacement, T-06-013, on Perkins Row over Mile Brook project. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
PROPOSAL: The proposed project consists of replacing the bridge on Perkins Row. The preliminary design indicates that the overall width of the bridge will remain approximately the same as the existing bridge with similar aesthetics. The project aims to preserve the millstones within the proposed scenic lookouts.
This location is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of charge upon request (including but not limited to interpreters in American Sign Language and languages other than English, open or closed captioning for videos, assistive listening devices and alternate material formats, such as audio tapes, Braille and large print), as available. Invitation for Proposals to Farm
The Town of Rowley has an opportunity for farming on its Bradstreet Farm Conservation Area at 239 Main Street (Map 26, Parcel 26, Lot 1). The area available to be farmed includes two parcels of approximately one acre each starting in the 2024 growing season. The area available to be farmed includes two parcels of approximately 17 acres and 7 acres respectively. The farming would be done under a license issued by the Rowley Conservation Commission and would be revocable at will on thirty (30) days’ notice. The Town is looking for qualified applicants (farmers) from the Town of Rowley or directly abutting municipalities. Applicants would have to provide a detailed planting and pest control plan (IPM) and have liability insurance. Written expressions of interest are requested by April 15, 2024.
