NEWBURYPORT – Newburyport Art (NAA) introduces Field Notes: Art + Science. Artwork in this exhibit engages with scientific ideas, methods, data, discoveries, or technologies, through direct collaboration with science or through personal, conceptual interpretation. It features over 60 pieces from 46 artists, with many first time participants in a Newburyport Art exhibit!
This show is on the first-floor Sargent Gallery and continues to the second-floor, Hartson Gallery.
Members’ Inked & Pressed is a printmaking show on view in the Hills Gallery, featuring 38 artworks by 22 artists. This exhibit features a variety of printmaking styles, including drypoint, etching, woodblock, linoleum block, and collagraph. In addition to framed artwork, artists have unframed prints available for purchase at the gallery.
An opening reception for both exhibits was held last week.
Continuing into March is our February/March Gift Shop, and 10th Annual Outdoor Sculpture Garden Exhibition.
The Gift Shop offers a variety of art pieces in many mediums, all priced under $200, while the Sculpture Garden on the waterfront’s Rail Trail, currently has a fun perspective with snow coverage.
NAA is actively seeking submissions for the 11th Annual Outdoor Sculpture Garden Exhibition. Anyone interested may apply for free online at: https://newburyportart.org/
