BOXFORD – Will the “city” come to Boxford?
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025 residents will gather at 7:00 P.M. in the auditorium at Masconomet Regional High School located at 20 Endicott Street, Boxford to embrace or send back to the drawing board, Article 8.
Passage of the article will embrace multi-family development opportunities to an area of the Willows development. This would allow construction “by right” of high-density multi-family buildings in the area adjacent and surrounding and within feet of single-family $1.2+ million homes in the area.
Discussions of density of 15 units per acre have raised concerns, along with side yard setbacks of just 50 feet between buildings (25 feet to property line for each building). Current homeowners who purchased their single family homes within the past three years, may soon find themselves living in a drastically changed, congested neighborhood.♦
