WEST NEWBURY − “A municipal mission statement defines a local government’s core purpose and values. It also provides a framework for policy making and alignment of employee, volunteer, and resident priorities.
At its October 8, 2026, meeting, the Select Board adopted the following mission statement for the Town of West Newbury:
“To provide fiscally responsible municipal services while protecting the town’s natural resources, honoring its historic roots and agricultural heritage, and encouraging community engagement”
