This is a series of local businesses to encourage customers to shop local and make people aware of their services and talents that we have surrounding us!!! Please shop local!!!!
Amanda purchased the business from the former owner Karen Pellitier in September of 2019, a g-town favorite for many years! She was employed by Karen for many years. Karen was looking to retire, and she offered the business to Amanda who resides in Georgetown with her daughter Jianna Ross Scola, 17 years of age, who is a senior at Danvers High School. They moved to g-town four years ago.

Amanda loves the kiddoes, and what she does! Every day, she looks at her schedule and is excited to see who’s coming in, she loves making people feel good and looking their best! Amanda shared with me that many people confide in her their personal lives, that she feels not only as their barber, but also their therapist, or just a sounding board, and encourages the customers, just let it all hang out! By this, it’s created a lot of friendships! And it’s a great feeling that people trust me enough to share their private lives with her, with their secrets, and personal information, as it is extremely private! People share!
“We do mostly, men and boys hair, but not limited to, as many women come in also. We love the kids, they are so much fun,” she shared.
“I try to keep my prices affordable, and family oriented, and we are extremely friendly and down to earth! I am proud to say that we have been in business for 7 years, thanks to our customers for their need of a shave or haircut, and the customers that stayed with us, and our new customer base that we have created, and we now have approximately 600 customers!
“Thanks to my very valued employees; Cliff Mckenzie, and Dory Vitiello, great, faithful employees, who love working with the kids, and other clients!”
Amanda is an extremely talented lady, offering her dedication and talents to many organizations; she has supported our town activities that most people don’t realize. She supports and chairs many events in town! The baseball teams in town, the Strawberry Festival at the Congregational Church, Masco youth hockey, sponsor for the corn hole tournament for the Triton Football League, and many more! People call her to help, because she is a mover and shaker, and gets things down! People love her, anyone that calls her for help – she steps up and puts both shoulders into it!!! She’s a very unique person, and gives back to everyone, and we should support her business as well!
She has a huge event coming up for Georgetown: ” Trunk or Treat” on Oct. 24th at the Penn Brook School. This program will donate all proceeds to the ” special ed program”, they decorate cars, and have a ball, the kiddoes love it!!! Get involved! More to come!!! Happy Halloweenie!
Amanda is also looking to hire a person, as she has an empty chair, to join her team, a barber, or hair stylist. Requirement’s, a mass barber or cosmetology license! Call for an appointment please.
Georgetown Barbershop is offering a very special deal for first-time clients: $5.00 off for new customers for mentioning this story!!!
We love kiddoes, prices are terrific, they all love what they do!
Call for an appointment, and take advantage of this promotion, your kids will love their new hairdos! And so will your husband! Shop local, support local businesses!
