Please join us at the Newburyport Public Library during the month of September for the following adult programs!

Wednesday, September 2nd at 7 PM: Living Well: Root Into Fall (IN PERSON). Through gentle movement, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing, you’ll reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and cultivate a sense of grounding as you move into a new season. Registration required.

Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30 PM: ASL Introduction to Fingerspelling (IN PERSON). Learn the manual alphabet system taught by an expert. Registration required.

Tuesday, September 8th at 7 PM: Electing the President with Constitutional Scholar James Coll (VIRTUAL). What were the Founders thinking when they created the Electoral College? This lecture will focus on the complex system designed to decide who gets to be our nation’s Chief Executive and whether it still needs to be so complicated. Virtual registration required.

Saturday, September 12th at 2:30 PM: Powow River Poets Reading (IN-PERSON). Please join the Powow River Poets for their monthly poetry reading. The invited readers this month are Bruce Bennett and Kyle Potvin. Readings from invited poets will be followed by an Open Mic. No registration required.

Monday, September 14th at 6 PM: Maker Monday: Leaf Imprint Dishes (IN PERSON). Using air dry clay and real leaves, participants will create their own leaf shaped dishes and bring a bit of the beauty of fall to their homes. Registration required.  ♦
