Newburyport Public Library June 2026 | Beach Reads Cart Returns for Summer

Wednesday June 10, 2026

NEWBURYPORT − Looking for the perfect summer read? The Friends of the Newburyport Public Library (FOL) invites you to browse their popular Friends’ Beach Reads cart, now stocked with a fresh selection of paperbacks for your reading pleasure. The cart will be restocked regularly throughout the summer, so there’s always something new to discover.

Paperbacks are just $2 each, with a limit of two books per day. Ideal for beach days and summer getaways, these are books you can keep—no due dates, just great reads to enjoy and share all season long.

Hosting friends or family this summer? The Friends’ Beach Reads cart is a fun and convenient stop for your guests—no library card required. Every book purchased helps bring more programs and resources to our community.

In addition to supporting programs like Beach Reads, the FOL funds the library’s popular Museum Pass Program, offering discounted access to a wide range of local and Boston-area museums. From art and history to science and nature, it’s a wonderful way to add enrichment and adventure to your summer plans.

Museum passes are available to all MVLC library cardholders and can be reserved up to 30 days in advance online at newburyportpl.org, by phone, or in person at the library.
