WEST NEWBURY – The Town of West Newbury will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade and Commemorative Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026. This event is often the best-attended community gathering of the year and provides an opportunity for residents of all ages to come together in remembrance of those who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice.
As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence, this year’s observance carries an added sense of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices that have helped preserve our nation’s freedoms.
This meaningful tradition is made possible each year thanks to the dedication of volunteer participants, local organizations, and community members, and the support of West Newbury’s Public Safety Officers and DPW staff. All are invited to attend the parade, and anyone interested in participating is warmly welcome to join.
If you would like to participate in the parade please contact:
Rebecca Ambra, exec.assistant@wnewbury.org, 978-363-1100 x 1115.
The parade will step off from Town Square (the intersection of Main and Maple Streets) at 10:30 AM and proceed down Main Street to the Training Field next to the Library.
Participants should plan to line up beginning at 10:00 AM. The morning will conclude with a Commemorative Ceremony at Town Hall, across from the Library. ♦
