Free Books – Jewish American Heritage Month in May

Wednesday May 06, 2026

Books are the mirrors and windows to the world for children.

They stimulate children’s imaginations while educating them in meaningful ways. Books unlock the world for children, build bridges of understanding amongst them, and introduce children to something new. It is for all these reasons that Lappin Foundation, in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, is offering free books about the American Jewish experience to K-5 public and private school teachers in celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month in May.

North Shore, Merrimack Valley, or Greater Boston K-5 teachers may select up to three free books from a curated list of books about famous Jewish Americans, the immigrant Jewish experience, or the many contributions Jewish Americans have made to our country.

Classroom activities and Massachusetts education standards are provided for each book.

Teachers can email:

for more information or to request the book order form.
