BOXFORD − The Town of Boxford Select Board has opened nominations for the second annual Outstanding Municipal Employee of the Year and Outstanding Municipal Volunteer of the Year awards.
The program recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to Town government through dedication, performance, and service over the past year.
Award Categories
- Outstanding Municipal Employee of the Year – A paid employee demonstrating exceptional service and commitment.
- Outstanding Municipal Volunteer of the Year – A board, committee, or commission member who has gone above and beyond.
How to Nominate
Any Boxford resident, employee, or volunteer may submit a nomination (no self-nominations).

- A printable form is also available on the Town website and may be submitted to the Select Board Office.
Deadline
Friday, May 8, 2026.
Suggested criteria include length of service, notable achievements, and contributions beyond regular responsibilities.
Selection & Recognition
The Select Board and Town Administrator will select recipients, with awards presented at Annual Town Meeting on May 12, 2026.
Last year’s recipients were Land Use Director Ross Povenmire and Board of Health member Alex Constan.
