Voters at the town meeting this year on April 28 will be presented with a decision on four Community Preservation projects for approval.
The first is a project to approve environmental testing at a historic former mill building at 46 Washington St. for $7,000.
The next project proposes several trail enhancements at the six town trail systems adding improved signage, markers, bridges, and trash receptacles. The project will cost $73,000.
A third project will fund a new clock mechanism in the historic Congregational Church and allow the Paul Revere bell to toll the time (cost $25,000).
The final project will pay $20,000 for consulting services to assist the town in utilizing CPA and Inclusionary Zoning housing funds to provide affordable housing and to set up a home repair program for income-eligible residents. CPA funds are collected from taxpayers in town and matched by the State. You can find out more on the town web site at grovelandma.com/community-preservation-committee. ♦
