AMESBURY – The Amesbury Police Department was notified that Jenni, a service dog, was lost on March 25, 2025. The following day, Jenni remained lost.
Using a drone, Officer Neil Moody began the aerial search of the swampy woods off Allenclaire Drive where Jenni was last spotted.
For more than two hours Officer Moddy searched the wooded area and used the drone’s thermal camera to locate Jenni. Finally, Jenni was found laying in the woods near a swamp.
Officer Moody provided the ground search teams with the exact coordinatese of where Jenni was laying down.

Amesbury Police related the incident on their offical Facebook page, and noted that it took approximately 30-40 minutes to get to Jenni after locating her from the air, Jenni, due to the swamp and thick brush. Jenni was reunited with Craig Burton.
