GROVELAND
Hello, my name is Myles Booth and I am a sixth grader at the Bagnall School. I am here to tell you about Shrek, our spring play. Once upon a time, in a far-away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek whose precious solitude was suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairytale characters. They were all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad. Determined to save their home, not to mention his, Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad and sets out to rescue Princess Fiona to be Farquaad’s bride. Rescuing the Princess may be small compared to her deep, dark secret. The story is based on William Steig’s book published in 1990.
The play will be presented 3 times: Friday March 28 at 7 pm, and Saturday March 29 at 11 am and again at 1:30 pm. Tickets will be available soon at Bagnall DOT prsd DOT org or by calling the school at 978-372-8856. Come and see the performance!
Oh, I forgot to tell you. You must come and see it to find out who is playing Shrek.
