Alice Quinn has a mystery to solve. By midnight. Christmas Eve. She has to solve the mystery to save her life. Her father has the solution. Trouble is – her father died 30 years ago. That leaves only her mother with the answer. Her mother refuses to help. Christmas Eve. Midnight. Without this answer, Alice has 89 minutes to live.
Acting Out Productions of Newburyport presents Jack Neary’s new play, DADDY’S LITTLE GIRL, on February 21, 22, 28 and March 1 at 7:30 pm, and February 23 and March 2 at 3:00 pm at the Hawrylciw Theater in the Spurk Building at Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliott Street, Haverhill, MA.
“We are excited to share this new work in a new space for us” commented Neary, the playwright and director. “We have produced several successful productions in the past three years at the Players Ring in Portsmouth as well as the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, and we hope to widen our audiences by producing DADDY’S LITTLE GIRL at the Hawrylciw Theater at NECC.
Neary’s gripping, powerful new play stars North Shore favorite Ashley Risteen as Alice, and features David Sullivan, Melody Jenkins, Jimmy Stewart, and Thomas Carnes. Neary is the author of recent North Shore hits THE STANDS and MOONGLOW, as well as FIRST NIGHT, JERRY FINNEGAN’S SISTER, AULD LANG SYNE (New Hampshire Theatre Awards. (NHTA); Outstanding Professional Production and Best New Play, 2013) and THE STANDS (NHTA Awards, Outstanding Professional Production, Outstanding Director and Excellence in Playwriting, 2024.)
