REGIONAL – Greater Newburyport Adult and Community Education announces that online registration is now open for winter classes. The fall semester runs from January 21 through March 29 with classes running anywhere from a one-night workshop to the full eight-week semester. A wide array of more than 60 diverse classes are being offered. A few of the many classes include pottery, animal tracking, cooking,
floral arranging, Ukrainian egg decorating, astronomy, alcohol ink painting, decluttering your digital photos, yoga, Tai Chi, caring for a loved one with dementia, drawing, bridge, cribbage, writing, developing your psychic sense, Japanese bookbinding, personal cybersecurity, the enneagram of relationships, genealogy and many more. The catalogue of classes should be arriving in local mailboxes in mid-December but registration is currently available online at newburyportadulted.org. All classes have a maximum number of students and many fill up quickly.
Both Math and SAT Prep classes will be offered for college-bound juniors and seniors beginningon January 21. Each course will run for 6 weeks from 6-8pm at Newburyport High School. Students do not need to live in Newburyport to take these classes.
Weekly English classes (ESL) for non-English speaking individuals are also being offered and will run for eight weeks on Monday evenings from 5:30-7pm at the Nock Middle School. Registration is online or walk-ins are welcome on the first night of class, January 27.
All of our classes are open to anyone aged 15+ in the Greater Newburyport region and southern New Hampshire. It is not necessary to live in Newburyport to take any class.

Greater Newburyport Adult and Community Education (GNACE) is entering its 23rd year and is a fully self-supporting program. Our budget is funded primarily from course fees. Additional funding is made available from grants and individual donors. We operate under the auspices of the Newburyport Public School system but we receive no tax dollars. ♦
