ROWLEY – Northeast Arc, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with disabilities and autism become full participants in the community, has elected Dan Lobdell to its board of directors.

Lobdell is a senior vice president and senior relationship manager for M&T Bank in New England.

“Our daughter Cathryn is a 21-year-old engaging young woman with Down Syndrome that has excelled in her participation in the Northeast Arc recreation programs. Cathryn’s life has been enriched by the community and friendships that she has developed through the many programs in which she has participated such as Youth Ambassador, walking the runway during An Evening of Changing Lives the past two years, and several Special Olympics programs run through Northeast Arc.”

Lobdell is active in the community with the New England Healing Sports Association in Mount Sunapee, NH where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Lobdell is also active with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts as a volunteer/coach.

“We are excited to have Dan join the Northeast Arc board of directors,” said Heidi Ellard, board chair, Northeast Arc. “His prior board experience, along with his personal connection to our mission, will help us as we continue to innovate and strengthen our support of individuals with diverse abilities.”

Lobdell, who lives in Rowley with his wife Diane Lally and their daughter Cathryn Lally, earned an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Monmouth University.

Northeast Arc, the largest Arc in the state of Massachusetts and one of the largest in the country, changes lives for people with disabilities and children at risk of developing them. The agency, which opened the Center for Linking Lives at Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers in 2020, serves thousands of people in nearly 200 Massachusetts cities and towns each year.
