ROWLEY — Celebrate Your Pride all month at the public library with fun activities.
The library is hosting a painting class for all ages to celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 1. Create a painting that reflects the significance of Pride Month to you. No need to register in advance for this event.
A Pride Button Making event for teens aged 11 to 18 will happen between 4 and 5 p.m. on June 10. Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month by visiting the library’s teen section to create a personalized pin. No sign-up is necessary.
Enjoy Pride & Pizza at the library’s Movie Night event from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 12. This event is open to people aged 13 and above.
Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month by watching a showing of Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (PG-13), while enjoying pizza, soda and other refreshments. There is no need to register for this event, and it is accessible to individuals aged 13 and above. People aged 11-12 may participate with the consent of a guardian.
At 7 p.m., June 20, welcome the renowned trans handywoman, Mercury Stardust. From being a TikTok star to becoming an author, Mercury is the acclaimed author of “Safe and Sound: A Renter Friendly Guide to Home Repair” and has also dedicated her time to helping people on TikTok reclaim their independence through home improvement. This exciting program is open to individuals aged 13 and above, but make sure to register beforehand. The event will take place on zoom.
Pride Story Time & Craft will happen from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on June 22. Open to all ages. Celebrate the conclusion of LGBTQIA+ pride month with a special story time and craft event on the library lawn. Wear your favorite rainbow clothing! Everyone is welcome, no need to register.
