Rowley Water Shares Spring 2024 Flushing Schedule
ROWLEY — The Rowley Water Department would like to share the following information about the Spring 2024 flushing program.
Rowley Water will begin flushing on May 7. Flushing is scheduled to begin from 7-11 p.m.
Flushing will then be conducted Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The schedule is subject to change. Residents may experience low pressure and/or temporary water loss and discoloration during this time. Low water pressure should return to normal after flushing.
Please note: Discoloration should clear within a day or so. Residents should delay washing laundry until the water clears. Do not use bleach to remove stains, as bleach will set stains caused by iron. Rewashing clothes is the best solution in the event of stained clothes.
Flushing is conducted twice a year, in May and October, to help ensure sustained water quality and support the longevity of the system’s infrastructure.
