Topsfield Fair Named Top Family Event

TOPSFIELD – The Topsfield Fair, the nation’s oldest fair, has been named one of 11 UP-STAND Family-Friendly Awards in 2023.
Awarded annually by UP-STAND, the Family-Friendly Awards celebrate accessibility and changing norms associated with family-friendliness at community events.
UP-STAND works to make life more accessible for pregnant women and families. It offers workshops, advocacy, consulting and products.
This program recognizes outstanding efforts for improving access for children and caregivers, raises awareness about accommodating families, encourages high standards of accessibility in the service industry and provides information on supporting these providers and looking for alternatives.
“We work hard every year to make the Topsfield Fair as accessible as possible for anyone that wants to attend,” said James O’Brien, General Manager, Topsfield Fair. “We appreciate that UP-STAND has recognized our efforts with this award.”
This year’s Fair, scheduled from Oct. 4 to 14, will feature rides, games, food, animals and parades.
