Town of Merrimac Invites Community to Attend Regional Housing Workshop
REGIONAL – The Town of Merrimac invites all residents and community stakeholders to share their views about housing in town at a virtual forum next month.
The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission will host the meeting on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 6-7:30 p.m., to discuss ongoing work to address local housing challenges, and to share tools and strategies to create new housing opportunities.
Residents of Merrimac, Newbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Rowley, and West Newbury are encouraged to attend. Those interested may register here to receive the Zoom link.
MVPC staff will discuss issues affecting the regional housing stock, including demographics, socio-economic data, and other analyses. Following this presentation, residents will move to a breakout session focused on their own community.
“We ask residents to attend this important forum,” said Town Planner Denise McClure. “Feedback from residents is vital to ensure we address the needs and vision of Merrimac as we update our local Housing Production Plan.”
Observations and ideas shared by residents will provide vital feedback as the town updates its local Housing Production Plan (HPP).
