The Rowley Public Library is offering an online speaker series open to anyone unemployed, underemployed, looking to change careers, or just interested in the topic.

There will be opportunities to ask questions of the speakers and for audience interaction.

Bringing Our Heroes Home — Inside The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency

Monday, Nov. 7, 7PM

Join the Rowley Public Library in welcoming retired marine and World War II research analyst Tim Kelleher, who will talk about the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) and its mission of finding and identifying the remains of missing U.S. service members and to provide the fullest possible accounting of missing personnel for their families. The agency uses everything from satellites to map battlefields from World War II, to DNA in a single tooth to find and identify heroes who have been missing for as much as 80 years.

Knitting and Crocheting Group

Wed., Nov. 9 & Thursday, Nov. 17, 6-8PM

Enjoy knitting and crocheting at the Rowley Library! In November, we’re meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6-8pm in our large meeting room. Drop in for the entire time or whenever you can. All levels are welcome, beginner to expert – we will all help each other. We will be meeting twice monthly; watch our calendar for future dates! Lessons From Trailblazing New England Women

New England has nurtured countless women who shook off traditional gender roles to forge their own destinies. Author Patricia Harris will give her popular presentation, “Lessons from Trailblazing New England Women,” based on her new book, New England’s Notable Women: Stories and Sites of Trailblazers and Achievers, covering the lives and achievements of such notables as Princess Red Wing, Rachel Carson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and more.

Drop in to the Rowley Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7PM- registration is not required. We will be showing this Zoom event in our Large Meeting Room on our big-screen TV.
