Newbury – Celebrate the end of the holiday season at Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm, 5 Little’s Lane, Newbury on Saturday, January 15, from 3 to 8 p.m at the Old Newbury Christmas Tree Bonfire. As part of this community-wide event, walk down to the town-sponsored bonfire and enjoy food, beer, wine, and hot chocolate available for purchase from local vendors. Pre-purchase a $10.00 parking pass for a guaranteed spot in the parking field. Parking passes will also be available at the gate but are not guaranteed.
Visit https://my.historicnewengland.org/12664/spl-bonfire to purchase a pass. Print and place it on your dashboard when you arrive.
Christmas trees began to be picked up at the curb on Monday, January 3 by G. Mello. Trees will be collected on various days (not necessarily your trash collection day). Trees put out by Thursday, January 13th will be used for the bonfire. That’s the town’s most cost-effective option, and it helps The Newbury Fire Department with its fundraiser. Do not bag the trees, but do remove bases, tinsel and lights.
