Newburyport – Newburyport Bank is very pleased to announce that Jimmy Williams has joined the organization as Senior Vice President & Controller. His primary responsibilities in that role include managing the day-to-day functions of the accounting team and supporting the CFO with other finance issues. Mr. Williams will report to Timothy Felter, Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer.
Just prior to joining Newburyport Bank, Mr. Williams served as Finance Vice President at Boston Private Bank, and prior to that worked at Ernst & Young as Senior Manager in the Banking & Capital Markets Group. He holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University, and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
“The accounting/finance side of banking is getting more complex so we are thrilled to have Jimmy join our team,” said Mr. Felter. “He is a seasoned accounting and finance professional that knows the business from both the banking side, as well as the compliance and audit side. Those skills are crucial as the Bank continues to grow, and it will also ensure that the information we provide to customers continues to be accurate.”
