Newburyport – Newburyport Bank has donated $2,695 to Newburyport’s Henry Graf, Jr., Memorial Skating Rink’s Community Athletic Scholarship.
Since 1973 the Graf Rink has been an invaluable community recreation center for ice skating and special events. It hosts a Learn to Skate program, as well as figure skating, youth hockey, and skills camps. The rink also is a sponsor of the Community Athletic Scholarship.
“The Graf Rink is an invaluable asset to Newburyport and the surrounding communities,” noted Lloyd L. Hamm, President & CEO of the Bank. “The Rink’s motto ‘strong bodies, strong minds, strong community values, strong families’, embodies the role that it plays. They further support that with the Community Athletic Scholarship. We are very proud to get behind that as it strengthens our youth and the fabric of our community.”
