Exeter Adult Education Enrichment Courses Offer Something For Everyone

Exeter, NH – Exeter Adult Education Enrichment courses offer many personal and professional development, foreign language, handcraft and computer courses that begin throughout October, November and December. Pre-registration is necessary for all courses as class sizes are limited. Online registration and payment is now accepted on the website.

Free Academic Skills & High School Equivalency Classes

Onsite registration for new students for the Fall session of academic skills classesfor adults will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 9am or 6:30pm. Academic skills classes are for adults who did not complete high school or who need to improve reading, writing, or math skills for personal or professional growth. These classes will help prepare students for the high school equivalency (HiSET) exam as well as other job training needs or college. Whatever the reason, someone needs to improve skills or finish high school, it’s not too late, and Exeter Adult Education staff can help each step of the way. Daytime classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9 am and evening classes meet Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30 pm. Call the office at 603-775-8457 the week of August 30 to set up an appointment for intake registration and assessments, if you cannot attend the registration event on Monday, September 13. Free English ESL (English For Speakers Of Other Languages)

The free ESL classes are for adults to work on improving their skills in English speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation. Daytime classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9 am and evening classes meet Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30 pm. Adult High School Diploma Classes Begin September 9.

Adults can take courses towards earning an adult high school diploma or take prerequisite classes (Biology or Chemistry) as part of the career pathways program at Exeter Adult Education for career and college advancement. Night classes are available. Plus, students can meet with a counselor to explore career options and take the Accuplacer® college entrance exam if necessary.
