DANVERS — The North Shore Chamber of Commerce has named six outstanding women of
influence and leadership in the region as its inaugural Diamond Award recipients.
The Chamber received numerous nominations highlighting a diverse group of extraordinary women business leaders and role models for the 2021 award.
Six women who demonstrate a commitment and passion for leading with purpose, empowering women, serving others and making an impact were ultimately chosen.
Award recipients are:
Sara Stanley, of Rowley, executive director of Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC), based in Salem.
Judy Cranney, of Beverly, vice president and chief operating officer of Care Dimensions,based in Danvers.
Laura Kurzrok, of Marblehead, community advocate and retired executive director of Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation.
Hannah Ginley, of Marblehead, chief people officer of Windover Construction, based in Beverly.
Nancy Palmer, of Danvers, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Northeast Hospital Corporation, which operates Beverly and Addison Gilbert, Gloucester hospitals.
Jo Ann Simons, of Swampscott, president and chief executive officer of Northeast Arc, based in Danvers.
The Diamond Award Review Committee included Alan Berry, president, C.P. Berry Homes; MaryAnn “Mo”Levasseur, president, Profile Research, Inc.; William Luster, president, Charing Cross Realty Trust; Karen Andreas, president and chief executive officer of the North Shore Chamber; and Sonya Vartabedian, communications director for the North Shore Chamber.
The North Shore Chamber will be spotlighting its honorees at a Diamond Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Kernwood Country Club in Salem. The public is invited.
