Dear Editor,
I recently moved to Georgetown from Northeast Ohio. I am currently the Pastor at New Life Community Church in Georgetown. When one of my families in church invited me to attend their son’s little league baseball game, my wife and I attended.
We then attended the next 8 games as the Giants went 17-0 and won the championship. The reason I am writing is what we experienced in the stands at the games. To our delight and amazement, there was no yelling at the coaches or umpires by parents, crowd or coaches. This area should be proud of the youth programs they have created. I experienced the same attitudes during flag football season as well. Respect begins with those in leadership. Thank you coaches and parents for being true leaders and teaching our children by example.
