Plainville — Honey Dew Donuts® announced the selection of winners in The Honey Dew Donuts Scholarship for 2021. Presented annually, these awards are given to deserving college-bound high school seniors who meet specified academic and civic-related requirements including grade point average and community-oriented volunteerism.
A total of 27 winners across Central/Eastern Massachusetts have been selected; each winner will receive a one-time award of $1,000.Among the recipients is Georgetown resident Chloe Sapienza, a recent graduate of Georgetown High School who will be attending Saint Michael’s College in the fall. Honey Dew began its scholarship program in 1999 and to date has awarded more than 1,575 individual scholarships, totaling over $400,000.
“These scholarships totaling $27,000 are one of the best investments we’ll make all year. To have the opportunity to give back to the students in the communities where we do business is so important to us,” stated Richard J. Bowen, President and Founder of Honey Dew. “These students have worked so hard and it’s an honor to support them as they move into their college years.”
