Join Amesbury Recreation for “The Magic of Gardening” at the Camp Kent Nature Center May 22,10am – 1pm with special guest, Kathy Corcoran, a local farmer and educator for over 40 years. Learn about backyard gardening design and planting seeds. Make your own wildflower mix. Have you ever built an edible teepee made of green beans or had a closer look at the magic happening in a native, open meadow garden? Learn about our seasonal birds, butterflies, and other special creatures that help keep this environment so colorful and alive! We will get the chance to design and build something original for campers and community members to enjoy this summer. You will even leave with a plant for your own garden, a bee friendly seed kit, and some new inspiration for future projects!
If you can make it, please register by visiting www.amesburyrec.com so we can plan accordingly (please create an account if you have not before).
