PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse will be doing two Sunset Lighthouses Cruises in June. The cruises on June 17 and 24, will start at 7:00 p.m. and will return about 9:30 p.m. They will be aboard the M/V Granite State, departing from Rye Harbor on Route 1A in Rye, NH. The cruises will pass close to Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, Whaleback Lighthouse, and White Island Lighthouse in the Isles of Shoals. Tickets cost: $30 each

After you reserve space(s) on a cruise, we ask that you plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the cruise. There is a large parking lot at the Rye Harbor State Marina, and the State of NH charges a $5 parking fee. Once you park, go to the Granite State Whale Watch ticket office, one of the small buildings along the side of the parking lot. Your name will be on a list and they will give you boarding passes. In the event that the cruise has to be canceled due to the weather, every effort will be made to notify everyone as early as possible by email. A cancellation notice will also be posted on the Facebook page. If a cruise has to be canceled due to weather or sea conditions, the purchase price will be refunded in full.
