This week’s business spotlight: We are welcoming the new “Emporium at West Main” owned, and operated by two retired educators: Elaine Fiasconaro, at 77 years of age of Georgetown, and Linda Morgan, age 73, of Revere. Both ladies are retired educators from Lynn.
Emporium at West Main is located at: 37 West Main Street Suite 1, in the Eagle Building.
Summer hours: Wed – Sun 10 am – 6 pm Mon/Tues closed Phone: 978.992.7010, 781.710.8411 or 617.797.5229
They take pride in shopping and finding phenomenal and affordable items for their exclusive shop! Two very young, minded, senior ladies, bringing together vintage, and new items, that they call: “affordable retail, you can purchase a gift, and feel good, that you didn’t have to crack your piggy bank to do so!” and you’ll find many items extremely reasonable items, and they offer free gift wrapping!!!
Elaine retired in 2006 and Linda retired in 2021, from their various teaching positions. Linda still tutors occasionally. They wanted to take a life opportunity, and follow their dreams, and venture off into the retail world!
Elaine, who moved to Georgetown in 1996, started traveling with her husband George Peter Fiasconaro, a recipient of the Purple Heart, in 1996. He was in the Vietnam conflict, and wounded in combat, and was in the army infantry in 1968 during the “tet” offensive!
They searched everywhere for vintage items, that now they own, and gave her the idea of “the Emporium at West Main.” Linda and Elaine want to be inspirational to other seniors, rather than sitting on the couch, eating bon-bons, there is more of life to live. They love meeting new people, enjoying all kinds of conversations, and they are excited using their creative senses, having fun, and bringing a new concept of shopping to fruition.
They walked into there new place and looked at four black slatwalls, they had to brainstorm to design their new home! One day, a gentleman walked by looking for a dentist’s office, his name was Paul Konish, from Rowley, and he almost immediately volunteered to help these damsels!
A big hug of gratitude goes out to him! ” A new start up business,” takes a village, and also a special appreciation of kindness goes out to the following: Jay Esposito, of Revere, Lynda Persico, and my very loving daughter Mary Mitchell, and many others!
Our products are distinctive, unconventional, some items are: aged plates, glassware, wall art, home decor, pet items, a large assortment of children’s toys, games, new and gently used clothing, as well as a men’s section, and very intriguing books. They also offer, locally made jams and jellies, as well as special inimitable, handmade item by a local artisan!
Browsing the store, I find small pieces of furniture, chairs, tables, garden decor, fun signage, and many cast-iron cookware, and wall hooks.

Having one-of-a-kind items, Japanese Bunka, distinctive, very collectable, tobacciana, silk collection of athletes, from the early 1900’s that came in cigarette packages, and various old post cards! They also share the enjoyment of a variety of resin, wood, and porcelain animals; dogs, cats, birds, and bears. They offer fresh inventory all the time, as they love to shop, and look for exceptional items, that are uncommon, and they always hunt for a bargain, so they can pass it on to their customers!!!!
This store is unprecedented as it offers so many ideas for affordable gifts! There’s something for everyone! If you see it, buy it, or it will be gone!
Elaine and Linda have a unique motto:
“Blend two retired educators with a passion for vintage and artisan treasures– The Emporium at West Main Street, is now created! Stop by and shop a collection of pieces sourced with care! The homework is already done for you!”
Their grand opening will be announced shortly. Drop in , take a look, say hello, and welcome them to their new home!
Georgetown businesses are growing, and others will be opening soon!
Please shop local, it’s so important to keep our businesses open!!! ♦
