Bishop Fenwick is proud to announce Julia Davis ’26 of Newburyport as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2026.
Julia has distinguished herself academically by pursuing one of the school’s most rigorous academic programs, including thirteen AP courses. A Presidential Scholarship recipient and AP Scholar with Distinction, Julia has earned numerous departmental awards across the sciences, humanities, theology, and world languages, reflecting both the breadth and depth of her academic excellence.

Beyond the classroom, Julia has been a leader in athletics, service, and student life. A multi-year captain and Catholic Central League All-Star in cross country and track and field, she has also founded and led initiatives including Fenwick’s American Red Cross Club and a youth cross country program for local middle school students. Her commitment to serving others is evident through her longtime work supporting students in Haiti, as well as her involvement with Best Buddies, homeless ministry, and Girls on the Run. Through her intellect, humility, leadership, and dedication to others, Julia embodies the very best of the Fenwick community.

At Bishop Fenwick High School, the title of Valedictorian is awarded to the senior who has achieved the highest weighted grade point average in the graduating class while exemplifying the school’s commitment to scholarship, leadership, faith, and service. The honor recognizes not only extraordinary academic achievement, but also a student’s dedication to the broader Fenwick community through involvement in athletics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and service to others. As the top academic honor awarded by the school, the Valedictorian represents the pursuit of excellence and the values of a Fenwick “Education for Life.”
