GROVELAND – On Saturday, September 6th, the Town of Groveland celebrated its 175th year with a parade and it was a celebration to remember!

Volunteerism has always been at the core of what makes Groveland special. It is the willingness of residents to step forward—to give of themselves for the benefit of others—that allows the community to thrive and remain the unique place so many are proud to call home. Thanks to this spirit, Groveland’s milestone celebration was not only possible, but unforgettable.

The Town extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed in any way—whether through months of planning and organizing, marching proudly in the parade, contributing donations to make the event possible, or cheering from the sidewalks with family and friends. The smiles, laughter, and applause throughout the day brought the event to life and made it a true community celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to: Lisa Chandler, William & Theresa Dunn, Dan, Jenna, and Austin Briscoe, Steve Collins, Captain Riley, Chief Gillen, Chief Valentine, Jessica Stokes, Jennifer Petersen, Claire Walsh, and Tracy Gilford. Your dedication and generosity of spirit showcased the very best of Groveland.

Photos from the day capture just a glimpse of the joy and pride shared by those in attendance. The 175th Parade not only marked a milestone in Groveland’s history, but also highlighted the extraordinary people—past and present—who have shaped the town into the community it is today.  ♦
