Newburyport Literary Festival Announces Workshops for Writers – At All Levels
WHAT: The 19th annual Newburyport Literary Festival will take place April 26-28, 2024. Leading up to the festival, two writing workshops will be offered:
• Secrets to Lit Mag Publishing and Awards. Led by Becky Tuch, Founder of Lit Mag News, Founder of The Review Review, fiction and nonfiction writer, creative writing instructor, consultant and editor, this workshop is designed to increase the odds of getting published in literary magazines.
• Which Publishing Path is Best for Your Next Book? Jane Friedman, Book Publishing Industry Thought Leader and Consultant, will teach foundational principles of getting a book published and help participants gain up-to-date insight into the changing landscape of the publishing industry.
WHEN:
• Friday, March 8, 2024, 12:00-1:30 pm EST: Secrets to Lit Mag Publishing and Awards.
• Saturday, March 16, 2024, 10:00-11:30 a.m. EST: Which Publishing Path is Best for your Next Book?
WHERE: Online – Zoom. Link will be sent to students before the session the day of the event
COST: $75 per workshop; half the tuition will be a tax-deductible donation to the Literary Association to support the festival.
