New Social Justice Book Club kicks off in Georgetown

Georgetown – A new book club is starting up at the Georgetown Public Library which is focused on various ways of understanding and practicing acts of kindness and compassion that lead to justice.
Hosted by Rev. Holly Brauner, from the First Congregational Church in Georgetown, this Social Justice Book Club is meeting at the local public library to ensure a wide-open welcome to everyone and anyone curious about social justice issues and possible resolutions.
We will meet the second Tuesday at 7 pm, every other month. beginning on Tuesday, September 12th. Our first book is called Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
Several copies of the books are available at the Georgetown Public Library.
