Susan grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, and went on to study at the College of New Rochelle, where she excelled academically. Intelligent and articulate, she found success in speech and debate competitions. She was the winner of the state speech writing competition and went on to compete nationally. Susan later built a meaningful career with the U.S. Department of Labor.

Susan’s greatest joy and proudest achievements were found in her family. She is survived by her children, Patrick Maloney and his wife Julia of Atkinson, NH; James Maloney and his wife Melissa of Newburyport, MA; and Katherine Maloney and her wife Kathleen of Sandown, NH. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Taylor, Callan, Cecilia, and Lennon, who brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Maloney; her sons, Mark and Kevin Maloney; her brother, John Regan; and her sister, Janet Regan.

Susan was known for her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave and the care she showed to those around her. Susan loved the ocean and spent many happy days boating with her husband, enjoying the fresh air and open water. She valued time at the beach with friends, took pride in her garden, loved music, and found joy in cooking delicious meals for her family and friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, her friends and family find comfort in knowing she rests peacefully and that the love she gave continues to surround them.
