BEVERLY – Chief John G. LeLacheur reports that the Beverly Police Department are currently on scene and investigating an apparent shooting that occurred Saturday night.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Beverly Police received reports of shots fired in the area of Simon Street.
Upon arrival, an officer located an individual suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The individual was transported to an area hospital by medical helicopter – condition remains unknown at this time.
At this time it appears that this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
The incident remains under investigation by the Beverly Police Department with assistance from Massachusetts State Police.
