Just a few reminders that there are some great organizations in town that are always welcoming new members.
The Knight of Columbus is a Catholic organization that meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the downtown Knight’s building. Contact Grand Knight Keith Vicari at 978-979-6088. A few programs include:
Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive with proceeds to special needs children
“Flags for the Faithful” provides a new flag for any religious group in Georgetown, and working in conjunction with a local veterans group, provides flags before Veterans day.
Great Grand Sheep Deeds Land Rush takes place this year on Sunday, Oct. 19th, along with a community crafters/yard sale at the Knight’s building.
Use of the hall by arrangement
The American Legion Post 211 meets on the 2nd floor in Georgetown Town Hall on Oct. 9th. contact Commander Doug Dawes at 978-352-7635. Some activities include:
America 250 activities to commemorate out country’s 250th birthday.

Veterans graves – updating flags and cemetery work with the Boy Scouts
Wreathes Across America program
