From the Farm off 133, West Boxford –
Richard “Dick” King of King’s Tree Farm and Nursery passed away in the comfort of his home earlier this year. His presence is deeply missed. Many have asked what will be happening with the farm.
Richard’s wishes were as follows…
That the Tree Farm will always remain a farm. He was able to secure this with the help of Essex County Greenbelt. By doing this, the farm will continue as it has for the past 40 years. Opening in early April and closing in early November as weather permits.
So, keeping up with his wishes and tradition, we will be opening this year on Wednesday, April 2nd.
Our hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
We have a wide variety of Lilacs and Native Plants/Shrubs to choose from. Please check our website for complete listing.

Hope to see you all soon. ♦
EDITOR’S NOTE: The lilac bushes we purchased from Dick several years ago are all in buds again and look great, about ready for the spring! He personally walked the area with us, making suggestions about selection and care. He will be missed by many.
