Triton Regional High School Theatre presents a heartwarming and emotional journey in its debut Winter Play, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

Adapted from Kate DiCamillo’s beloved children’s book, this moving production offers audiences of all ages a powerful story of love, loss, and personal growth.

The play follows the transformative journey of Edward Tulane, a china rabbit who embarks on an emotional adventure that teaches him the true meaning of love and compassion. Voiced by senior Josh Sauris, Edward’s journey spans heartbreak and healing as he learns how to lov and be loved—offering timeless lessons in empathy and connection.

Edward learns, if you have no intention to love and be loved, then life’s journey is pointless. It’s a message that resonates with everyone, no matter their age, and reminds us all of the importance of human connection.

This production, adapted by Dwayne Hartford, showcases the remarkable talent of Triton’s

young actors who bring Edward’s journey to life with both humor and heart. Their powerful performances will tug at the audience’s emotions, making this play a truly unforgettable experience.

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is part of Triton High School’s Season of

Self-Acceptance, which aims to promote themes of empathy, personal growth, and emotional awareness. Through this play, the school hopes to foster understanding and compassion, both on stage and in the community.

With only two performances, this is a rare opportunity to see this poignant story brought to life by the next generation of theatre talent. The show will be performed on January 31 at 7:00 PM and February 1 at 2:00 PM, at Triton Regional High School.

Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door. Advance tickets can be bought with a credit card online via https://our.show/thsedward, or cash at the door on the day of the performance.
