The Civil War Rountable of the Merrimack promotes the education of the historic era known as the American Civil War. They host meetings to discuss and learn about all aspects of this time including battles, technology, personalities, and other similar themes.
The group often feature guest speakers with expertise in these topics, as well as encouraging discussion among themselves and short talks from their membership.
Usually about twenty five people attend each meeting, which includes a brief business meeting and a break for refreshments.
Although meetings are open to the public, they encourage those who attend to consider becoming members as the income from annual dues (currently $25.00) goes toward expenses, such as rent, programs, and to contribute toward preservation of Civil War sites and artifacts.
