NEWBURPORT LIBRARY BOOK SALE
Oct. 23-26, Donations Accepted Oct. 18, 21, and 22
Program Room at the Newburyport Public Library
NEWBURYPORT – Donations of hardcover, paperback, and audio books in good to excellent condition are welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot accept magazines, textbooks, CDs or other media. To accommodate our space constraints, please limit your contribution to 8 boxes per household. Donations can be delivered to the Program Room through the front door of the library at these times:
- Saturday, October 19 from 9:30 – 4:30
- Monday, October 21 from 9:30 – 7:30
- Tuesday, October 22 from 9:30 – 2:30 (No donations accepted after 2:30)
The sale will begin with its traditional Members’ Sale for Friends of the Library members on Wednesday, October 23 from 2:00—8:00. Membership can be purchased or renewed at the library’s circulation desk, on the FOL website https://www.newburyportfol.org/membership-2/ or in the library lobby starting at noon on October 23. Also at noon, since the first day of the sale is very busy, entry numbers will be provided to guarantee a place in line when the sale opens at 2:00.
The book sale for the general public begins on Thursday, October 24. Sale prices will be posted.

- Friday, October 25 from 9:30 – 4:30
- Saturday, October 26 from 9:30 -2:30
Saturday is Bargain Day when shoppers can fill a bag for just $5!
We welcome volunteers to help sort books and set up prior to the sale and to work during the sale. A sign-up book for volunteers is in the library lobby next to the Book Sale poster, or you can visit the Events page on the FOL website www.newburyportfol.org for details. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
