TOPSFIELD – Read books and earn a free admission ticket or watch a free movie on the grounds, thanks to the Topsfield Fair.
The fair is hosting a Movie Night, Thursday, Aug. 22, in the arena at the fairgrounds. It will feature the movie, Moana, a 2016 Disney film about a Polynesian girl who saves her village. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the movie will start at 6:30 p.m.
The event includes a free movie, popcorn and parking. Food trucks will also be on site to purchase extra snacks.

Bring your own beach chair, seat or blanket. The bleachers have limited seating, but there’s plenty of space on the arena floor for everyone. An adult must accompany children, and please refrain from playing ball in the Arena.
The Topsfield Fair is teaming up again with libraries in Essex and Middlesex counties, as well as those in southern New Hampshire, to support its Read & Win program.
Each library establishes a target for elementary school children, motivating them to read library books. Students from kindergarten to 6th grade who achieve their reading goal will get a ribbon from the International Association of Fairs and Exhibitions and a complimentary admission ticket for students aged eight and above.
Children under eight accompanied by an adult always get in for free. Additionally, each child will receive a coupon for a free hot dog and drink courtesy of the Topsfield Fair.
Save money by purchasing advanced admission tickets for $15 each at www.TopsfieldFair.org, plus a $2.50 convenience fee per ticket.
A three-day pass is also available for $42, with a $4.26 convenience fee. During the Fair, admission tickets will be $20 each. Children under eight get in free with an adult ticket.
For rides, 10 are for $33 with a $3.50 convenience fee before the Fair. This is a 30 percent savings compared to buying during the Fair. Some rides may be excluded, and there is a limit of 20 pre-Fair ride tickets per order.
